Oh, wow -- I'd been wondering how he'd look next to a Narae (who has the same kind of delicate facial sculpting), but sadly, she'd be a giant-headed monster next to him.

ChicLine might not look bad, actually -- they're pinheaded in my opinion (this is why I've done something Decidedly Different with my ongoing and as-yet-unrevealed ChicLine project), but they'd be better in-proportion with his head style.

I love that Lumedoll managed to make a smaller-headed doll without going the pinhead route -- he looks Just Right, in my opinion!

Yeah, in the pictures I've seen, the Chicline heads do look wrong, somehow, with the bodies--the proportions just aren't quite working, especially nude. What impresses me about the Tyl is that, even nude and without the big floofy wig, he doesn't look pinheaded at all. He looks like a miniaturized real person.

It's interesting to me that, next to him, the Tonners look just slightly bobbleheaded. It's not visible at all except by comparison, but . . . hmmmmm. I do think their heads are a teeny bit oversized-for-effect.

Oh wow, a different species here too, huh? I just can't get over how cute he is though - you know?

Oh, I DO know! He was completely irresistible when I first saw his pictures on the Lumedoll site, and I'm so glad I ordered him--even though he's going to wander around the house looking strange next to every single doll I own.

I wonder how he'd measure up with a Sybarite. They are about 16 inches. But that's the fun of it right?

He's quite handsome and I am going to enjoy seeing him here.

The proportion differences were kind of a shock when I lined those three guys up! I always think of Unoas as being fairly realistic in their proportions (at least compared to my beloved, melonheaded old Volks and CH), but erm. And poor little Story there (my Schulze) looks soooooo weird. Maybe the geeky hat is a contributing factor???? ;-)

I wonder about a Sybarite-Lumedoll pairing, too, but I've never been drawn to Sybs enough to drop the $$$$ on one. And there are the other 16-17 inch resin fashion dolls, from Dollmore to Kinetic to JamieShow to Devadolls. Ah, well--whatshisname here will just have to be content with a vinyl harem, because I have yet to see the resin FD I want enough to buy. Maybe Eva will sculpt a girl that I like as much as I do her 60cm Heka??

Schulzes FTW!!! Story here was my one and only MSD boy for ages, until I acquired Nicky the Tsubaki recently--I just adore the Schulze/Maria face.

Tadeusz has settled into his look, I think--that wig really helped, after I flailed around with a bunch of bad choices at first. And those green eyes, BTW, are from MakoEyes; I really like them, especially for the BOGO opening-special price.
