So, it seems that I can't write without a camera.
Sasha Blaze
How odd, considering that I've always thought of myself as a verbal person, not a visual one. This goes right back to kindergarten, when Sally Wallingford (tall, blonde, pretty, and enviably able to do everything I couldn't--not that my long-ago infant jealousy lingers, or anything) was "the one who could draw," and I was "the one who could read." But I've discovered this week that, in my current camera-less state of being, I can't think of anything to say here.

On the bright side, I'm planning to correct the camera problem tomorrow.

Let's see. Events of the week. Well, my Volks album arrived yesterday, just in time for me to spend most of the day lounging on the couch, recovering from a stomach bug (blasted wonky GI system, inherited from Dad's side of the family!). The set of assembly and faceup DVDs was a surprise, and a real treat. The big photograph book itself is sort of "meh" (though there are a few Yukinojo pictures that fill me with kindergarten-level envy), but the encyclopedia volume is very, very cool. And I registered to buy the "Joe's Dream Uniform," because oooooo, dress shoes for Kanbei! I was able to resist the tracksuit, but not this one.

My huge box of books, shipped from San Diego last week, still hasn't arrived. Did the mule break down going over the Rockies, or what?

And I have now tried four times to order an SA Saint from Luts, but no matter which browser or which computer I use, I can't get to the final order-confirmation screen. Somebody tell me there isn't a cosmic message in this, please.

Must take my car in for an oil change now.

Told you I didn't have anything to say!

Eluts seems to be a bit wonky lately, did you try emailing them? :{

Yeah, I emailed last night--now I'm hopping around impatiently, wanting to hear back from them! *hophophop*

I'm glad to know it isn't just me, though. I was starting to develop some nice paranoid fantasies, and now I can channel that energy into something else. ;-)

Y'all having a good time up there? It's really boring here at the office, but I'm Doing My Duty.

I didn't buy the book. I resisted. Though I did get the track suit and my dollshe boys are wearing parts of it as well as Apollo. heh.

Hope you feel better!

I was having second thoughts after I paid for the book, but when it came and the DVDs were included, plus the encyclopedia . . . yup, I'm glad I splashed out on it. Plus, well, the uniform! Yum.

i think sally wallingford is probably divorced at least 2x now, with mole with hair growing out of it and has an incontinece problem.

wanna see the new camera pics, go buy already willya??

Ha! She was very nice, as I recall--just, you know. Tall. Blonde. Able to draw.

And TOMORRRRRRRRRROWWWW new camera, cross my heart! I read up on some possibilities last night, and I think I have the choice narrowed down to four cameras. Now we'll see what the camera store does to sway me one way or another.

I'd love to see those Volks dvds, sigh.

There is not a cosmic message in the SA Saint glitch.

I'll take your word on that. -_*

The DVDs have almost convinced me that I could disassemble and restring a BJD without doing irreparable harm, which is quite a step forward for me. They haven't convinced me that I could do a faceup, but then it would take a lot more than Valico making encouraging noises to convince me of that.

The best part of the DVDs, for sheer entertainment value, is the lesson on Dressing Your Super Dollfie. "Tishuutu desu. Jiins desu."

I know Firefox is unable to order stuff in Korea, or rather on most korean sites. Use Mr. Gates's browser, that should work. If not, email Sean...site help desk person. I'm sure he want's to help you order. ^0^

I've been lookin' at the new Saint and Bernard, too. But, it bothers me that the eyes are so close set. Eyes should be at least an eye lenght apart, even better if the distance is a bit more.

Good luck with your quest..^^

I was failing with both Firefox and Explorer--the problem seems to be with the final connection to the secure credit-card server. But wire transfer/Paypal came to the rescue, and I have a lovely message from Sean, congratulating me on my success. ;-)

For some reason the close-set eyes bother me a lot more on Bernard than on Saint. I really fell for Saint once I started looking at versions of him without the soutane and severe black wig, and with a variety of faceups. I'm also thinking that a size-smaller eye will really make a difference, and I binged happily on Karin's Masterpiece closeout with that in mind.
